The Ultimate Salon

I walk into room 167 and see that what was once a regular OCAD class has been transformed into what looks like a barber shop. I can hear the buzzing of hair clippers and the rushing sound of hair dryers. I am asked if I would like a makeover and of course I do. I sign a contract that is so long I don’t even bother reading. After signing it I feel like maybe I should have read it better.

I am seating in the waiting area as I listen to the buzzing and blowing sounds of the shop. When it is my turn I sit in the barber chair and the hairstylist raises the chair slightly. Then I am positioned so I cannot see myself in the mirror.

The stylist proceeds to put makeup on and even though I said I didn’t want any hair taken off I suddenly hear the shearing of hair and it drops onto my lap. I am furious that they would do such a thing!!! I get angry and say something to the stylist. This is when I am turned to face the mirror and see that I am exactly as I was when I first walked into the barber shop. I am confused. I felt the makeup on my face, and I hear my hair being cut, I even saw the hair fall onto my lap!

After the initial confusion wears off, the stylist explains that it is a mock up of a barber shop and they didn’t actually do anything to me. I am relieved.

Budget
So assuming everyone pays $25, will we have a budget $750 roughly.
In a professional salon, there are mirror, barber chair, hair dryer, towels, salon apron, a broom, magazines, variety of combs, and definitely scissors and trimmers. Of course other props such as fake-hair will be needed to enhance the experience. Because this is a virtual salon, we definitely need a set of headphones and a CD player, laptop or anything can outputs audio effect.
Breaking down the cost:
Mirror: $60
Barber chair: unknown
Hair dryer: $20
Towels: $20
Apron+capes: $10
Broom: $10
Magazine: Free
Combs: $10
Scissors and Trimmers: $40
Fake Hair: $20
Headphones and audio output: Free
TOTAL: $190+cost for chairs
