Exercise 01: Amazing Experience Design

Rock Band rules!!!!!!!!!!

I know you are all probably thinking "why would she pick that design?, its old!" But truth be told I personally just started playing this video game resently over the christmas holidays and i love it. Now don't hate me when I say this but I hate video games and i haven't played video games for like 10 years! Im not very good at them and they are so frustrating. Rock band on the other hand has changed that experience for me. Here are some reasons.
1) Rockband is simple to use because the instruments and what you see on screen are colour cordinating and the game is designed to be visually explanatory.
2) Very enjoyable game to play, giving you the feeling to express yourself and the "fantasy" of what it would be like to be in a band or play an instrument.
3) Useful game on the pure fact that it only fills a sense of enjoyment, used for a pass time.
4) Accessible, products are not a 100% universally designed but are design for childern to adults.
5) Rockband is a very desirable game on the market and has been selling out in many stores as one of the top video games for the past two years.
6) Rockband has become very powerful in a economical way. Rockband has been influencial to society by becoming a leading video game and adheres in the changing times with new technology
Accesibility- Rock band is accessible for most, tall or short, standing or siting (even wheelchair). There are a few issues that would need to be addressed- offering a variety music in different languages for more end users, new instruments that would have to be designed for people with disabilities or the existing instruments to be designed for people with amputes, colours on screen and instruments designed for those with colour deficiencies etc....
Ockham's Razor- I would say that this applies to the graphics on screen, as the might be distracting to some, and they are also are not really nessary.
Performance vs. Perferance- rockband has been found to be very successful.
